Visalia’s Waiters Race 2018 Call for Racers! Presented by Visalia Breakfast Lions Club

Annual Waiters Race 

Thursday – September 20th, 2018

2:30 pm – 3:30 pm Final Registration & all Racer’s must check-in by 4pm to get your racer number (at Enchanted Playhouse)
5:15 pm Parade of Racers – Be ready to walk in the racers parade – starting on Main St and Court. You will be walking east on Main St.
5:35 pm The National Anthem
5:45 pm The first race will begin promptly

If you work in the food service industry then you are welcome to register for this year’s Waiters Race.
There will be four divisions again in this year’s race:
Women’s Quick Service – Men’s Quick Service – Women’s Full Service – Men’s Full Service

Racers will dash down Main Street with a tray in hand for a chance to take home $1,000 a total of $7000 is up for grabs.

In the Quick Service division, racers were equipped with a tray containing two paper cups of soda and a bun in a clam shell. The first to finish with all items on the tray won that division. In the Full Service division, racers were outfitted with a tray set up with two wine glasses and one glass bottle of wine. Again, the racer with all items on their tray wins.

There were four heats of eight racers and the top two of each heat made it to the finals. There were glass broken and hopes crushed as only one winner took home the $1,000 first-place prize, $500 for second place and $250 for third place in each division.
